Anambra State Government is taking a bold step to restore the core values of hard work, honesty, and patriotism among its citizens.
Anambra State Commissioner for Information and Value Reformation, Dr. Law Mefor, recently convened a key stakeholders’ meeting in Awka to kickstart a statewide push for value reformation.
This initiative aligns with Governor Chukwuma Charles Soludo’s “Solution Agenda,” which envisions a “new Onye Anambra”, someone who prides themselves on integrity and social responsibility.
Why now? With the rise of the “get quick money syndrome,” ritualism, and fraud, the state is acting to prevent the decaying of moral fabric that holds our communities together.
As Dr. Mefor noted, “We can no longer pretend that all is well. The time for collective action is now.
From the Clergy to the National Orientation Agency, the Nigeria Union of Journalists, Town Unions and civil society groups, the consensus is clear, reforming our values is a duty we all will share.”
Let’s work together to build the Anambra of our dreams!
Anambra needs you to be the best version of yourself.
