The Permanent Secretary Ministry of Agriculture, Mrs. Ifeyinwa Uzoka has called on head of various departments and entire staff to remain punctual and diligent in the discharge of their duties.
The directive was given during a recent meeting with departmental heads and staff, where the permanent secretary emphasized the importance of discipline and commitment to service delivery.
Mrs. Uzoka noted that lateness to work and lack of dedication not only affect individual performance but also hinder the overall effectiveness of the Ministry.

She, therefore, urged all staff to cultivate a culture of timeliness, responsibility, and professionalism.
Addressing Heads of Departments specifically, the permanent secretary charged them to lead by example and ensure strict adherence to official working hours within their respective units.
She stressed that leadership at the departmental level plays a crucial role in shaping the attitude and productivity of staff.
Upon inquiry about efforts to restore the ministry’s power supply, the permanent secretary mentioned that a memo has been drafted to enhance the solar system, resolving the power supply issue to ensure a productive and efficient work environment.
She warned that appropriate measures would be taken to address cases of habitual lateness and negligence.
The meeting ended with a renewed commitment from staff to improve punctuality and enhance productivity across all departments.
