The annual Onwa Agwu Masquerade Festival will hold on July 12, as the community prepares to celebrate its rich cultural heritage through a colourful display of tradition and unity.
The festival is expected to attract indigenes, visitors and cultural enthusiasts from within and beyond the community for a vibrant celebration featuring traditional masquerade performances, cultural dances, music and other indigenous displays that reflect the people’s customs and identity.
Organisers described the festival as an important cultural event that promotes unity, strengthens community bonds and preserves the community’s rich traditions for future generations, encouraging residents and visitors to participate in the celebration and join efforts to sustain the cultural values and heritage of the people.
