ONITSHA SOUTH MAYOR RECEIVES AWARD OF AMBASSADOR OF CATHOLIC CHURCH… ASSURES OF RELIGIOUS PARTNERSHIP

The Mayor of Onitsha South Local Government Area, Chief Emeka Orji has received an award of leadership excellence, as An Ambassador of Catholic Church by the Catholics Laity Council of Nigeria (CLCN), Onitsha Episcopal Region

The accolade specifically highlights the Mayor’s commitment to promoting Catholic values and Christendom in general and to acknowledge his efforts in promoting humanity and the society in general

Receiving the award in his office at the Council Secretariat, the Mayor expressed his gratitude on the honour bestowed on him, thanked them for the recognition and assured them of the present government’s support in partnering with religious body in the area

Chief Orji while speaking further pledged his commitment in ensuring that Governor Charles Soludo’s good government is re-invigorated in every household.

Earlier in his speech, the Coordinator of Onitsha South Local Government Catholic Laity Council of Nigeria, Comrade Ben Chikezie, stated that the award served as both for a recognition of Mayor’s past accomplishments and an encouragement for continued service and good governance.

According to him,” He has done and is still doing well in human capital development, infrastructure, and he is a model of Prof Charles Soludo, Olu atu egwu ndi Onitsha South,” Ben posited.
