Youth Presidents-General from various communities in Ogbaru Local Government Area have pledged their unwavering support for the SINGA/CONSIDER administration, promising stronger collaboration towards people-oriented governance and inclusive grassroots development.
The youth leaders made the pledge on October 28 during a courtesy and solidarity visit to the Council Secretariat, where they met the Working Mayor, Hon. Nnamdi Ifejika (SINGA), and Deputy Mayor, Rt. Hon. Ikenna Ezekwueme (CONSIDER).
Speaking during the engagement, Deputy Mayor Ezekwueme commended the visiting youth leaders for their unity, commitment and determination to contribute to the development of Ogbaru, describing young people as essential drivers of meaningful progress and sustainable community transformation.
He reaffirmed the administration’s commitment to youth-friendly governance, noting that the SINGA/CONSIDER-led council remains open to constructive ideas and partnerships that would promote development across the local government area.
Ezekwueme assured the delegation of the leadership’s readiness to work closely with stakeholders, particularly young people, whose contributions he said were vital to achieving the administration’s development objectives.
In their response, the Youth Presidents-General expressed their support for Ifejika and Ezekwueme, describing the administration as focused, accessible and committed to delivering meaningful development to the people.
They pledged continued cooperation with the council leadership, expressing their readiness to contribute towards policies and initiatives that would improve the welfare of residents and promote development across communities in Ogbaru.
The meeting also provided an opportunity to strengthen the relationship between the council leadership and youth representatives, with both parties emphasising the importance of unity, partnership and inclusive participation in grassroots governance.
The engagement further underscored the administration’s commitment to working with community leaders and young people, reinforcing a shared vision of sustainable development, improved governance and a brighter future for Ogbaru Local Government Area.
