The Mayor of Ogbaru Local Government Area, Hon. Kenneth Akwuobi, has described his achievements in office as a blueprint for sustainable development, highlighting the completion and furnishing of the legislative building as one of the major milestones of his administration.
Hon. Akwuobi stated this on Sept. 11 while reflecting on his achievements since assuming office, noting that he inherited a local government secretariat that had suffered years of neglect and poor maintenance.
According to him, after assessing the condition of the secretariat, he resolved to restore its environment and improve its facilities, beginning with the legislative building, which had remained unavailable to councillors for several years.
The mayor explained that the completion and furnishing of the building provided councillors with a conducive environment for legislative duties, effective deliberations and better representation of their constituents.
He noted that the project had significantly improved the standard of legislative activities in Ogbaru Local Government Area, describing it as one of the most important contributions of his administration to the people.
Hon. Akwuobi attributed the achievements recorded within his one year and eight months in office to the grace of God, stressing that his administration had also implemented several other development projects across the local government area.
He said his administration remained committed to improving infrastructure and delivering projects that would have a lasting impact on the people of Ogbaru. The mayor further pledged to sustain his development drive by continuing to commission projects and support initiatives across the 16 wards of the local government area.
He assured the people of Ogbaru that his commitment to advancing the area would remain unwavering, promising to continue working for the development of the local government until the final day of his tenure.
