The Office of the Head of Service, Anambra State, is to hold a two-day In-House Anambra State Human Resources Development Week for officers across Ministries, Departments and Agencies from May 25.
The programme was approved by the Head of Service, Ngozi Anuli Iwouno, Esq., mni, as part of strategic reforms and capacity building initiatives to reposition the state civil service for better efficiency, professionalism, innovation, and improved service delivery.
This was contained in a circular signed by the Head of Service dated May 18, at the Jerome Udorji Secretariat Complex, Awka.
The initiative is designed to strengthen institutional competence, promote healthy living among officers, improve workplace productivity, and equip civil servants with administrative and professional skills for a modern public service. The HOS noted.

The programme would begin on May 25, with a Free Medical Outreach/Health Check Exercise from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the State Secretariat Complex, Awka.
A second session will follow at 12:00 noon with a human resources development Programme for Confidential Secretaries and Clerical Officers at the Head of Service Conference Hall II, State Secretariat Complex.
While on May 26,
Administrative officers will undergo the human resources development Programme from 9:00 a.m. at the same venue.
Permanent Secretaries have been directed to nominate three relevant officers from each Ministry, Department and Agency to participate. Nominated officers are expected to be seated at least 30 minutes before each session to ensure punctuality and smooth coordination.
The Office of the Head of Service requested wide circulation of the circular and strict compliance, noting that the programme reflects the present administration’s commitment to building a highly competent, responsive, and result oriented civil service in Anambra State.
