The Mayor of Nnewi North Local Government Area(LGA), Hon. Echezona Anazodo, has led residents and stakeholders in thanksgiving to God at an Episcopal Thanksgiving Mass held at Our Lady of Assumption Cathedral, Nnewi, to mark the commencement of his administration.
The mass attracted Ndi Nnewi from different walks of life, who gathered in prayer to seek God’s guidance and commit the new administration to His care.
Among the notable personalities at the event were traditional rulers from Nnewi, including Obi Afam Charles Obi (Ogidi IV), Obi Uruagu; Obi Bennett Okafor (Obi Amaukwu, Obi Umudim); and Obi George Onyekaba (Obi Diugwu, Obi Nnewichi).
In his thanksgiving remarks, Anazodo expressed gratitude to God for the journey so far, reaffirming his commitment to serving the people with dedication, while promoting unity and development across Nnewi North.
Also speaking, Chief Dr. Cletus Mmadubugwu Ibeto (CMI) congratulated the mayor, urging him to remain focused on serving the people and advancing their interests.
The mass, presided over by His Lordship, Most Rev. Jonas Benson Okoye, Catholic Bishop of Nnewi Diocese, concluded with prayers for peace, development and prosperity in Nnewi North.
The bishop prayed for wisdom, strength and divine guidance for the mayor and members of his executive as they begin their tenure.
