The Traditional Ruler of Akpu in Orumba South Local Government Area of Anambra State, HRH, Igwe Marcel Okoli (Igwe Chukwuchili), has felicitated with Nigerians in the new year and called for sincerity of purpose, love and unity to move the country forward.
Igwe Okoli in his new year message also called for total repentance among Nigerians, and urged them to turn into new leaves to reclaim the nation’s lost glory.
The Royal father expects the nation’s leaders to lead righteously with the fear of God to make Nigerians feel the impact of good governance.
In Anambra State, Igwe Okoli acknowledged the electorate for voting en masse for Governor Chukwuma Soludo and returning him for a second term in office.
He commended the governor for his good governance and for the rapid transformation of the state in the three Senatorial Zones of the state and in all sectors of the economy.
The traditional ruler felicitated with his subjects in Akpu, the entire people of Orumba South Local Government Area and wished them the best of the new year.
He admitted that Governor Soludo has made appreciable impact in developing communities in the Local Government Area and appealed to communities in the area yet to receive democracy dividends as their counterparts, to be rest assured that the dividends of democracy will reach them in no distance time under Soludo’s watch.
Igwe Okoli thanked God for blessing his efforts anchored by the grace of God and the foundation which his late father laid for him which he improved on and moved on with life.
The Royal father called on the citizenry to live righteous lives and learn a lesson from what happened to the biblical children of Israel who were humiliated by their adversaries when they turned their back on God but gained victory when they repented, urging them to embrace God to attract His full blessings in the new year.
