The President-General of Nawfia Community in Njikoka Local Government Area, Anambra State, Chief Daniel Okoye, has lauded residents for their dedication to peace, unity, and community development. He noted that the collective efforts of indigenes both at home and in the diaspora are driving positive transformation in the town.
Speaking during a community gathering in Nawfia, Chief Okoye expressed satisfaction with ongoing development projects. He urged residents to sustain support for initiatives focused on infrastructure, education, healthcare, and security.
According to him, sustainable community development is contingent on collective action for the common good. “Nawfia is endowed with hardworking and forward-thinking people. Our strength lies in unity. We must continue to support projects that will improve the welfare of our people and secure a better future for the younger generation.”
The community leader also stressed the importance of maintaining peace and harmony, emphasizing that meaningful development thrives only in a stable and secure environment.
In his remarks, community elder Chief Emmanuel Okafor commended the town union leadership for upholding transparency and accountability. “We have witnessed positive changes in our community. The leadership has sustained engagement with the people and encouraged participation in development projects. This is commendable,” he added.
Youth leader Mr. Chinedu Eze expressed optimism about Nawfia’s future, noting increased involvement of young people in community affairs. “Our youths are contributing ideas and supporting community programmes. We believe Nawfia has immense potential, and we are committed to playing our part in building a stronger community.”
Residents also expressed hope that ongoing projects and renewed commitment to unity would yield greater progress in the coming months. The event call for continued cooperation among all stakeholders as Nawfia strives to consolidate peace, development, and prosperity for its people.
