In a remarkable show of compassion and service, the Lady Chiamaka Women Foundation, led by its dynamic Convener, Lady Chiamaka Okoye (Adadioranma Amawbia), organized a Free Medical Outreach and Women’s Health Awareness Program for the women of Amawbia both indigenes and those married into the community.

The impactful initiative took place on December 20, 2025 at Eziokpaligwe, Amawbia Town Hall, and attracted a large turnout of women eager to benefit from the life-enhancing services.

The outreach featured a team of seasoned medical professionals from Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University Teaching Hospital (COOUTH), Awka, including doctors, pharmacists, nurses, and laboratory scientists, all working together to provide holistic care.

Lady Chiamaka Okoye, (Ada Amawbia Ji Eme Onu), speaking at the event, emphasized that the outreach is a testament to the foundation’s unwavering commitment to improving the health and well-being of women in Amawbia.

She noted that healthy women are the backbone of any thriving society, and as such, empowering them through access to quality healthcare is both timely and essential.

Lady Okoye resolved to channel her efforts toward the betterment of her people, driven by an unwavering commitment to service. Those acquainted with her attest that she is not a politician; politics has never figured into her aspirations or contemplations.

“I am cognizant of the prevalent practice of distributing basic necessities like bags of rice, yet I deliberately chose an alternative path. I queried myself, “What magnanimous act shall I undertake to catalyse greater prosperity for my people?” Hitherto, my philanthropic endeavours have centered on the Adabebe Village Women Wing; now, I ambitiously broaden the scope to encompass the entirety of Amawbia Community. An epiphany crystallized: ‘Health is Wealth’.

This multifaceted initiative encompasses: Personalized one-on-one consultations with distinguished physicians; Gratuitous health screenings and advanced laboratory diagnostics; Enlightenment sessions fostering awareness on paramount health paradigms; Complimentary medication dispensation; and In-depth discourses on women’s holistic wellness and corporeal stewardship.

She solemnly dedicates her existence to the selfless service of Amawbia’s womenfolk, driven by an unwavering commitment to uplift and empower.

“As many of you are aware, I am a prominent public figure, with a global viewership exceeding 100 million individuals per month, who conscientiously follow my endeavours. Contemplating this profound reach, I earnestly sought divine guidance, querying what stewardship I ought to pursue. The inner resolve crystallise: I shall channel my resources and influence toward benefiting my community.

“Commencing forthwith and extending through January 2025, Amawbia shall be cognizant of my devoted presence as a daughter of this esteemed community. As a token of festive benevolence.

The inaugural 200 women attendees received complimentary cash gifts. The chants and songs by the women echoed their overwhelming joy and gratitude for the benefactress.

“Ada Arubala Amawbia is truly making a difference. She is a cheerful giver, deeply people-focused, and above all, a woman of grace and charisma. Her presence radiates warmth and reassurance, bringing comfort and hope to everyone around her,” they echoed.

Indeed, her selfless acts speak volumes, touching lives, lifting spirits, and building a legacy of compassion.

The theme of the program, “Healthy Women, Stronger Community,” resonated deeply with participants, capturing the essence of the foundation’s mission to build a healthier, happier, and more resilient Amawbia.

This noble initiative reflects the heart of Lady Okoye’s vision: compassionate leadership, community upliftment, and proactive care for women, the lifeblood of every society.
