The All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) candidate for Anambra West State Constituency in the 2027 Anambra State House of Assembly election, Dr Felix Uneojo Ikechi, has congratulated six newly appointed supervisors in Anambra West Local Government Area, urging them to prioritise accountability and grassroots development.

Ikechi, in a congratulatory message issued through his media office on Oct. 24, described their appointments as an opportunity to contribute to the development of the council area.

The supervisors were inaugurated on Oct. 22 by the Mayor of Anambra West, Hon. Tony Obierike, at the council secretariat in Nzam.

He urged the appointees to regard their positions as a call to service rather than a privilege, stressing the importance of integrity, professionalism, humility and collaboration in the discharge of their duties.

Ikechi encouraged them to focus on their respective portfolios, including agriculture, education, healthcare, public works, environmental management and special duties, noting that the sectors were essential to community development and public welfare.

He also advised the supervisors to maintain regular engagement with community leaders, stakeholders and residents to identify local needs and develop practical solutions to challenges facing their communities.

The APGA candidate called on them to promote fairness, inclusiveness and equitable development, irrespective of community, political affiliation or social status, while ensuring that public resources were used for the common good.

Ikechi, a former Transition Committee (TC) chairman, urged residents of Anambra West to support the new administration and cooperate with the supervisors to promote effective governance and sustainable development.

He expressed confidence that teamwork, discipline and a people centred approach would enable the appointees to contribute meaningfully to the development of the council area.

He wished them successful tenures and urged them to remain accessible to residents, accountable in their conduct and focused on delivering results.
