The All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) candidate for the Onitsha North mayoral election, Chukwuemelie Ezennia Ibekwe, has unveiled a comprehensive, people-oriented agenda aimed at addressing key challenges facing residents of the area.
The development blueprint, tagged ‘Onitsha North Agenda’, focuses on practical solutions designed to improve living standards and promote sustainable growth within the community.
Speaking during an interaction with newsmen, Ibekwe described his vision as one rooted in firsthand experience and a deep understanding of the needs of the people.
“I have lived among the people, engaged with traders, families, and young persons. This agenda is built on what truly matters to them, solutions that will improve their daily lives,” he said.
According to him, the agenda prioritizes empowerment programmes targeted at youth, women, and small-scale entrepreneurs, with the aim of boosting economic opportunities and reducing unemployment. It also outlines plans to expand access to quality healthcare services and strengthen the education sector through improved facilities and student support initiatives.
On security, the APGA candidate pledged to collaborate with relevant authorities to enhance safety across the constituency, ensuring residents can live and conduct their businesses without fear.
He further highlighted plans for infrastructure development, including the rehabilitation of roads, markets, and public facilities, as well as environmental initiatives aimed at maintaining a cleaner and healthier Onitsha.
