‎The Anambra State Hospital Administrator, Dr. Frank Ifeanaeme, on July 7 conducted an unscheduled inspection visit to General Hospital, Enugwu-Ukwu, accompanied by members of his management team, to evaluate staff performance and the quality of healthcare services provided to patients.
‎
‎During the visit, Dr. Ifeanaeme expressed satisfaction with the commitment of the hospital staff, noting that those on duty were present at their respective duty posts and carrying out their responsibilities diligently.
‎

‎He toured the various departments and units of the hospital to assess firsthand the standard of patient care and service delivery.
‎
‎At the maternity unit, the hospital administrator interacted with women who had recently given birth and asked whether they were charged for the services they received. The women confirmed that they benefited from the Anambra State Government’s free delivery programme and paid nothing for their deliveries.
‎

‎They used the opportunity to express appreciation to the state government and offered prayers for Gov. Chukwuma Soludo for introducing the initiative across state-owned hospitals.
‎
‎Addressing members of staff, Dr. Ifeanaeme stressed the importance of maintaining accurate and up-to-date records in every department and unit. He noted that proper documentation is fundamental to accountability, efficient healthcare delivery, and institutional transparency.
‎

‎The hospital administrator, also expressed dissatisfaction with the failure of some staff members to wear their official name tags while on duty. He described the practice as unprofessional, emphasizing that name tags are essential for easy identification and public confidence. He consequently directed that staff members found in default should be issued queries as a deterrent to others.
‎

‎Dr. Ifeanaeme assured the hospital management that some of the challenges confronting the facility would receive prompt attention to enhance service delivery.
‎
‎The inspection tour was led by the Doctor-in-Charge of the hospital, Dr. Dozie Udolisa, alongside the Head of Department, Administration.
