The Member representing Njikoka Constituency in the Anambra State House of Assembly, Hon. Chidi Ibemeka, has flagged off his August Medical Outreach Programme with the women of Nawfia, reaffirming his commitment to improving healthcare delivery at the grassroots.

The outreach, which commenced at the Nawfia Town Hall during the community’s August meeting, attracted a large number of women who benefited from free medical services, including health screenings, consultations, and the distribution of essential medications.

The initiative forms part of Hon. Ibemeka’s ongoing efforts to support mothers across Njikoka Constituency by ensuring they remain healthy and fit to carry out their vital roles in their families and communities.

Speaking during the exercise, the coordinator of the medical team explained that the outreach is focused on preventive healthcare, early detection of common health conditions, and health education. Beneficiaries underwent free blood pressure checks, blood sugar tests, Body Mass Index (BMI) assessments, and received general wellness counselling, all at no cost.

Representatives of Hon. Ibemeka reiterated the lawmaker’s unwavering commitment to the health and wellbeing of his constituents, emphasizing that healthy mothers were the foundation of healthy families and thriving communities.

They also commended the women of Nawfia for their impressive turnout and active participation, assuring them that the medical outreach would continue across other communities in Njikoka Constituency throughout the August meeting period.

Responding, the women expressed profound appreciation to Hon. Ibemeka for bringing quality healthcare services to their doorstep. They described the gesture as timely and impactful, noting that it demonstrated the lawmaker’s genuine concern for the welfare of his constituents.

The August Medical Outreach is being coordinated under the Save the Future Movement, with the aim of expanding access to quality healthcare and promoting preventive medicine across communities in Njikoka Constituency I.
