By Felix Igboanugo  :

In a bid to enhance healthcare services and promote wellness, health workers in Anambra West have been urged to uphold the highest standards of care and professionalism.

This call was made on March 11 by the Executive Chairman Anambra West LGA, Mr. Fidelis Nnazor during an inspection tour of some healthcare facilities in the local council.

Mr. Nnazor who has demonstrated his preparedness to drive effective healthcare services in the area, warned the health care workers in the area to avoid truancy and be genuinely dedicated to duty, emphasizing that health is wealth.

He advocated for a shift in the approach of health workers from mere service providers to active health advocates.

Represented by the Supervisor for Health Mr. Aloysius Offordile, Mr. Nnazor underscored the crucial role that health workers play in not only treating illnesses but also in preventing diseases and promoting healthy living practices among residents.

The Anambra West Mayor further said that by being knowledgeable, compassionate, and proactive in their approach, health workers can significantly impact the overall well-being of the citizenry.

He commended Governor Chukuwma Soludo’s administration for the free delivery services in all healthcare facilities in the State, and advised the Nurses and  health workers in all the Primary Health Centres in the area to be really healthcare givers and providers.
