Prof Chukwuma Soludo, the governor of Anambra State, has sworn in the newly appointed state cabinet, urging them to work collaboratively and focus on service. “I congratulate and sympathise with you because you are part of the team I described as those called to serve nearly twenty million Ndi Anambra at home and abroad. Sacrifices, risks, and hard work are involved.”
This statement was made during the swearing-in ceremony held at the ANSEC Chambers, Light House, Awka.
He explained that in Nigeria and many developing nations, there’s a misconception that appointments are opportunities to enjoy privileges. “People see it as a dinner invitation, but I see the farm, work, and field. You are called to serve the public, and this work runs 24/7.
“Welcome to Team Solution 2.0. I emphasise ‘team’ because teamwork is vital. Regardless of your position, act as part of the team. I don’t see the titles but the value you will bring as we work toward a shared agenda with a deadline.

“Remember, we all took the same oath of office and allegiance—the only difference is the name and position. The document is always in my view, and I urge you to read and reflect on it seriously, as this oath guides your service,” he added.
Governor Soludo also acknowledged that each appointee was chosen deliberately and praised the State House of Assembly for their swift and professional screening of the Finance Commissioner and the Attorney General/Commissioner for Justice.
Mrs. Chiamaka Nnake, the newly appointed State Secretary to the Governor (SSG), expressed her happiness and recognised the heavy responsibility of her role. She committed to working hard to advance Anambra State.

“The SSG role is about guiding the government to operate efficiently and swiftly. Understanding the vision helps align departments and agencies to propel the state forward. I plan to bring everyone on board to achieve our goals.” she stated.
“Some new members may not have been part of the Solution Team before, but they will adapt to our agenda within four years. I aim to showcase a new face of the SSG,” she added.
Mr Christian Aburime, the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, remarked that the first term focused on laying foundational projects across the state. The second term, dubbed Solution Team 2.0, will concentrate on executing numerous projects.
He assured timely, credible updates on the governor’s activities, emphasizing honesty. “We will tell the truth as it is,” he said. He noted that he will suggest to the governor to maintain support for the media, which has historically aided his administration.
“Press freedom will be upheld, but it should be used responsibly to highlight the good work of the governor and improve society, not to cause crises,” he added.
Hon. Chidi Nnamdi Ibemeka, representing Njikoka Constituency 1 in the State House of Assembly, congratulated the new cabinet, particularly Mrs. Chiamaka Nnake. He expressed confidence that they will serve credibly to make Anambra great.
“Our focused governor has developed strategic plans with impactful policies. I advise the newly appointed members to support their leader and dedicate themselves to their duties,” he concluded.
