The University on the Niger has recorded a significant milestone in its academic development as it secured full accreditation for nine of its programmes from the National Universities Commission (NUC).

The accreditation followed the Commission’s October/November 2025 exercise, during which the institution’s programmes were rigorously evaluated based on curriculum quality, staffing, and available facilities.
The fully accredited programmes include Accounting, Economics, Psychology, Religious Studies, Public Health, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Cyber Security, and Microbiology.

University authorities described the achievement as a clear validation of the institution’s commitment to maintaining high academic standards and delivering quality education tailored to both intellectual and character development.
According to the management, the accreditation affirms that the university’s programmes meet national benchmarks and are well-positioned to equip students with the knowledge and skills required in today’s competitive environment.

They further noted that the development reinforces the university’s vision of producing graduates who are not only academically sound but also grounded in strong moral values and purpose.

Prospective students have been encouraged to consider the University on the Niger as a top choice for higher education, especially as preparations are underway for the commencement of a new admission cycle.
The institution assured that admission for new students will begin soon, urging interested candidates not to miss the opportunity to be part of its growing academic community.
