The immediate past Commissioner for Culture, Entertainment and Tourism, Mr. Don Onyenji, says Governor Chukwuma Soludo’s administration has recorded unprecedented achievements in Anambra’s tourism sector.
Onyenji made the assertion during an exclusive interview with DDM Television on June 28, while reflecting on his service under the Soludo administration.
He expressed gratitude to Governor Soludo for finding him worthy to serve in the Solution Team and contribute to promoting culture, entertainment and tourism in Anambra State.

According to him, no administration since Anambra’s creation has matched the current government’s achievements in tourism development, describing the progress as remarkable and enduring.
He identified the Solution Fun City as the administration’s flagship tourism project, describing it as the finest recreational and leisure destination in Sub-Saharan Africa.

Onyenji said the facility uniquely combines a family fun centre, gaming arcade, cinema and the Anambra Country Club, providing leisure opportunities for people across different age groups.
He also praised the transformation of the Awka City Stadium Arena, noting its modern design allows several events simultaneously within the integrated Solution Fun City environment.

The former commissioner added that six swimming pools, including an Olympic style and wave pool, alongside an amusement park, attract thousands of visitors, boost tourism and generate significant state revenue.
