Residents of Fegge in Onitsha South Local Government Area are rejoicing as the new constructed general hospital by Governor Chukwuma Soludo started operation.
The hospital establishment initiative gears toward bringing healthcare facilities to the doorsteps of every Ndi Anambra and making its services affordable. This also gives access to free antenatal, free delivery and as well as reducing high rate of mortality.
Speaking during a visit by information officers, the Community Leader, Chief Okwudili Obinwune said, “it’s a dream come true,” saying that it is the first of it’s kind since the inception of the State. He called Mr Governor a man with vision, wisdom and intelligent.
Chief Obinwune asked God to protect and provide Governor Soludo with continued good health, thanking him for working relentlessly in making Anambra State a “Dubai Taiwan” gradually as promised.
Obinwune assured that with the presence of the hospital, residents will no longer find it difficult to visit and check their health conditions with even genuine drugs.
The Councilor representing Fegge Ward III, Hon.Chinedu Okoro congratulated His Excellency on his just concluded swearing in for the second term and commended him also for the efforts in making this huge project a reality.
He called Soludo “Ekwueme” (Man of His words) and prayed for God’s guidance and directive as he carry on with his clarion calls by assuring that he takes the state to a promised land.
Mrs. Justina Obi, a petty trader, lauds Governor Soludo for making lives easier for them.
In her words, “Living was not fair to me and my family. We couldn’t afford three square meals not to talk of going to hospital. I used to buy drugs from Chemist any time we were sick but now our governor has given us hope of a healthy living.”
Mrs, Chidinma Afamuefuna, a pregnant and expectant mother praised Soludo for his free antenatal and delivery initiative, saying that before now hospital bills were on higher price. “Indeed this gives us hope and sense of belonging. She prayed that God will bless Soludo and his family always.
Aunty Obianuju Ifeachor as she fondly calls, who is also a widow and mother of four Children couldn’t hold back her joy as she thanked Governor Soludo for his love and selfless services in promoting good health in all the communities.
She joins the chorus to enchant “Soludo Oluatuegwu!, expressing her happiness while recounting the ordeals she’s been through since the demise of her husband.
She concluded by commending our working governor, saying that the existence of government hospital in their area will drastically lower the cost of hospital bills.
