Bishop Owen Nwokolo of the Diocese on the Niger has urged Nigerians to trust in God’s power to overcome socio-economic challenges and personal struggles.
Delivering his Easter Sunday homily at All Saints’ Cathedral, Onitsha, Nwokolo emphasized that Christ’s Resurrection is a reminder that no difficulty is insurmountable with God.
He drew parallels between Christ’s victory over death and Nigeria’s current struggles, affirming that just as Jesus broke through the tomb’s barrier, Nigerians can overcome obstacles.
“Where our strength ends, Jesus takes over,” Nwokolo said, encouraging Nigerians to remain hopeful despite economic hardship and insecurity.
The prelate urged Nigerians to reject fear and despair, embracing Christ’s peace that transcends human failure.
He emphasized that Christ’s love remains steadfast, even in moments of weakness, and encouraged Christians to remain steadfast in faith.
