The Director, National Secondary School Awka, Dr. Ngozi Anagor has passed a vote of confidence on Governor Chukwuma Soludo’s administration for his reforms in the education sector which have remained the envy of some other states in Nigeria.

Dr Anagor in a press statement in Awka following the successful resumption of the 2025/2026 academic session by the college, expressed satisfaction that the education friendly governor has recruited 8,115 teachers covering the primary and post primary schools cadres in the state, designated smart schools as model institutions of excellence among other accomplishments.

According to the director, the governor has made some landmark achievements in other sectors of the economy particularly in the development of the Awka Capital City with a special reference to the Aroma Ifite Awka vehicular flyover linking the Ifite Awka road, and other parts of Awka.

She further commended the state Commissioner for Education, Prof. Ngozi Chuma- Udeh for her passion for private schools in the state and the Private Schools Proprietors occasional meetings with her which have yielded lots of dividends.

Dr. Anagor raised her concern in the area of over taxation in the state and urged Governor Soludo to interrogate the reoccuring incidence with a view to streamlining the process to ensure that only genuine tax collection agencies operate.

The director spoke of her determination to make the National Secondary School Awka one of the best in the state and dropped the hint of staging an inter house sports competition for the college in due course.
