The Diocese on the Niger has joined Anglicans and other Christian faithful across Nigeria in celebrating the 65th birthday of the Primate of the Church of Nigeria (Anglican Communion), His Grace, the Most Rev. Henry Chukwudum Ndukuba on July 17, describing his life and ministry as enduring testimonies of God’s grace, faithful service, and exemplary leadership.
In a goodwill message signed by the Bishop of the Diocese on the Niger, the Rt. Rev. Owen Chiedozie Nwokolo, the Diocese, together with its Board, clergy, and laity, expressed profound gratitude to God for the life of the Primate and his remarkable contributions to the growth and advancement of the Anglican Communion.
Bishop Nwokolo described the Primate’s 65th birthday as a significant milestone that transcends the celebration of age, noting that it represents a lifetime of unwavering dedication to God’s service and the spiritual development of the Church.
The message stated that Archbishop Ndukuba’s years of ministry have been “sculpted by grace, refined through service, and set apart for the shepherding of God’s flock across this nation.”
The Diocese further commended the Primate’s tenure, applauding his wisdom, courage, and steadfast commitment to the proclamation of the Gospel. It noted that under his leadership, the church of Nigeria has remained firmly rooted in biblical doctrine while navigating challenging times with faith, resilience, and purpose.
Bishop Nwokolo also praised Archbishop Ndukuba’s unwavering devotion to sound biblical teaching, courageous christian witness, and compassionate pastoral leadership, noting that these qualities have continued to inspire and strengthen dioceses across the country, including the Diocese on the Niger.
The Diocese offered prayers for God’s continued guidance, protection, and abundant grace upon the Primate, asking the Lord to bless him with renewed strength, sound health, divine wisdom, and many more years of fruitful service in His vineyard.
The Bishop expressed confidence that Archbishop Ndukuba would continue to provide visionary and godly leadership to the church, advancing its mission with distinction and grace as he marks another milestone in his life and ministry.
