The Deputy Speaker of the Anambra State House of Assembly and Member representing Awka South II Constituency, Rt. Hon. Chukwuma Pius Okoye, has congratulated Anambrarians on entering the month of August, praying for peace, prosperity, and a fruitful August Meeting for women across the state.
In his New Month message issued by Team Okoye Chukwuma Pius – TOCP, the Deputy Speaker expressed gratitude to God for His mercy and protection, describing the opportunity to witness a new month as a priceless blessing worthy of thanksgiving.
He urged the people to remain steadfast in faith, hopeful for a brighter tomorrow, and committed to the values of peace, unity, and hard work as the state continues to pursue development under the Solution Government.
Rt. Hon. Okoye paid special tribute to mothers in Anambra, particularly Anglican and Catholic women who are set to hold their annual August Meetings. He described mothers as the bedrock of every peaceful and progressive society.
The Deputy Speaker prayed that God would grant women abundant grace, wisdom, strength, and good health as they continue to nurture families, promote harmony at home, and contribute to national stability.
He reaffirmed his commitment to quality representation and purposeful lawmaking, assuring constituents of Awka South II that he will continue to champion sound legislation and people-oriented initiatives aimed at sustaining peace and accelerating development.
According to him, the legislature remains focused on laws and programs that will promote shared prosperity across Anambra State, with special attention to grassroots communities.
Rt. Hon. Okoye expressed optimism that August will usher in greater opportunities, renewed hope, remarkable achievements, and divine favour for every family in the state.
He encouraged Ndi Anambra to remain united and confident in the future, stressing that collective effort is key to building a more prosperous Anambra.
The Deputy Speaker wished all residents of Anambra State and the people of Awka South II Constituency a peaceful, productive, and richly rewarding new month.
