The Deputy Speaker of the Anambra State House of Assembly and Member representing Awka South II Constituency, Rt. Hon. Chukwuma Pius Okoye, has felicitated with Ndi Anambra at home and in the diaspora on the occasion of the 35th anniversary of the creation of the state.
In an anniversary message issued on his official handle on August 26, Rt. Hon. Okoye described Anambra’s 35-year journey as one defined by resilience, enterprise, innovation and notable achievements by its people.
He noted that Ndi Anambra have continued to distinguish themselves in various fields within Nigeria and globally through hard work, determination and a commitment to excellence.
“As we mark 35 years of statehood, it is important that we reflect on our progress as a people while renewing our commitment to building a more prosperous and developed Anambra,” the Deputy Speaker said.
Rt. Hon. Okoye called for sustained unity, responsible leadership, and collective efforts to drive sustainable development and create greater opportunities for the people of the state.
He further expressed optimism that Anambra will continue to rise and maintain its position as a leading light in Nigeria.
“On behalf of the good people of Awka South II Constituency, I congratulate all Ndi Anambra on this milestone. May the state continue to grow from strength to strength,” he added.
