The Anambra State Deputy Governor, Dr. OnyekaChukwu Ibezim, has reaffirmed the Soludo administration’s commitment to creating an enabling environment that attracts private investment and promotes sustainable economic growth across the state.

Dr. Ibezim made the remarks after inspecting the City Square Mall in Awka on July 9, describing the facility as evidence of growing investor confidence in Anambra.

He commended the Chief Executive Officer of City Square Mall, Chief Evans Emesim (Okwumereze Ndị Igbo), founder of Ụtọndụ Media House and Okwumereze News, for what he described as a landmark investment and a significant contribution to the state’s economic transformation.

According to the deputy governor, the mall represents more than a commercial facility, noting that it symbolizes confidence in Anambra’s future, serving as an encouragement for more indigenous investors to invest in the state.

“This investment reflects the kind of visionary private enterprise that complements purposeful governance. Partnerships like this are essential to achieving lasting economic development,” Dr. Ibezim said.

He urged Ndi Anambra at home and in the diaspora to return home to invest, establish businesses and take advantage of the opportunities being created by the state’s ongoing transformation.

Dr. Ibezim praised Governor Chukwuma Soludo for his vision of building a livable and prosperous smart megacity through strategic investments and purposeful governance.

He noted that every road constructed, policy implemented and investment attracted contributes to making Anambra a preferred destination for living, learning, investing, working and recreation.

The deputy governor expressed optimism that with consistent government policies and increased private sector participation, Anambra would continue to strengthen its position as a leading destination for investment and economic prosperity.
