Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University Teaching Hospital (COOUTH), Amaku, Awka, provided medical coverage at the coronation of His Royal Majesty, Dr. Chinedu Benson Madubuko, as the Eze Chinechendo of Adazi-Ani.
The coronation ceremony, held on Aug. 22, at Adazi-Ani Town Hall, attracted traditional rulers, community leaders, dignitaries and other members of the public.
The Chief Medical Director (CMD) of COOUTH, Dr. Maureen Umeakuewulu, said the gesture was part of the hospital’s commitment to safeguarding the health and wellbeing of communities within its catchment area.

Umeakuewulu said the hospital deployed a medical team to the venue to provide prompt medical attention and respond to any health emergencies that might arise during the ceremony.
According to her, the presence of the medical personnel demonstrated the hospital’s commitment to preventive healthcare, emergency preparedness and the delivery of quality medical services beyond the hospital environment.
She added that the initiative was also part of COOUTH’s broader efforts to contribute to the safety and wellbeing of the public, particularly during major community gatherings.
Umeakuewulu and her team congratulated Madubuko on his coronation and wished him a peaceful, impactful and prosperous reign.
