The Ad Hoc Committee on Theatre Reform at Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University Teaching Hospital (COOUTH), Amaku, Awka, has submitted its report to the Chief Medical Director (CMD), Dr. Maureen Uche Umeakuewulu, and members of the Hospital Management Board.
The presentation, held on Aug. 24, followed the committee’s mandate to reform and restructure the hospital’s theatre complex into a modern, state-of-the-art surgical facility capable of meeting contemporary healthcare standards.
Receiving the report, Dr. Umeakuewulu commended the committee members for their dedication, diligence and thoroughness in carrying out the assignment.
She described the report as the product of painstaking and dedicated work, assuring the committee that Management would carefully review its recommendations and take appropriate steps towards implementation.
The CMD further assured the committee that its members would be invited for further discussions should management require clarification or additional information on any aspect of the report.
