Lecturer, St Dominic Savio Seminary, Akpu, Rev Fr Jeremiah Uchechukwu Okafor has called on Nigerians to persevere, to conquering economic instability ravaging our dear country today.
He said this in a homily during Mass, at St Paul’s Catholic Church Akpo, in Aguata Local Government Area, on August 16.
The cleric who was on evangelical mission at the Church acknowledged that Nigeria economy is not smiling, yet asked Nigerians to persevere, to telling stories of the economic crunch alive.
“You do not need to contemplate suicide, that is cowardice. The going is tough, be the tough that goes. It is not new to life, men faced famine in the past, yet there were survivals.
“So, work hard, humble yourself and consider others while making decisions, God shall compliment your efforts.”
The cleric enjoined Nigerians to take their civic responsibilities seriously, to making changes where necessary in leadership.
“We need men who understand economic dynamics in leadership to walking away from this economic crunch, he opined.
