‎The Parish Priest of St Paul’s Catholic Church, Akpo, Rev. Fr. Cyriacus Ubah, has called for collective support for the Men of Order and Discipline (MOD), unit of the Church.
‎
‎Speaking after Holy Mass on June 14, Fr. Ubah described MOD as the Church arm responsible for maintaining order at the gates, parking areas, and Church environs. He stressed that security is a shared responsibility for the Church, family, and society.
‎
‎The cleric urged parishioners to view MOD personnel as dedicated guardians of safety, not as touts. He appealed for tolerance, appreciation, and provision of logistics such as uniforms and safety boots.
‎
‎He also encouraged members to supply useful information on suspicious movements and criminal activity to enhance security.
‎
‎Earlier, in his homily, the Vicar, Rev. Fr. Innocent Chinazaekpere Uwakwe, urged Nigerians to see their occupations as service to God. He charged traders, artisans, teachers, and all professionals to work with the fear of God and accountability.
