The Anambra State Civil Commission Chairman, Tony Ezenwaka, has called on schedule officers to always provide sound comments and recommendations that will guide the authorities in taking decisions affecting the Civil Servants welfare.

Mr. Chairman said this during his meeting with Heads of Departments Supervisors Schedule Officers. “The authority vested in your schedule is the power granted by the government, empowering you to contribute significantly to decision-making that impacts the welfare of your fellow workers and the progress of the service”.

Mr. Ezenwaka counseled the officers to conduct thorough research on every matter they address, thereby enabling them to submit informed and constructive comments and recommendations. On the other hand, He strongly condemned the unauthorized disclosure of information within the Civil Service Commission, emphasizing the need for registry staffs to uphold confidentiality. He warned that those responsible for leaking information should cease such actions immediately.

The Chairman said that the 2023/2024 promotions interview will be conducted with even higher standards than before. He explained that the previous exercise had more lenient standards due to extraordinary circumstances, such as the renovation that necessitated working under temporary arrangements. Mr. Ezenwaka encouraged Civil Servants to put in their best efforts to merit their promotions, highlighting the importance of promotions as a motivational tool for employees.

He concluded by expressing his profound gratitude to Governor Chukwuma Soludo for equipping the Civil Service Commission with modern ICT gadgets. He pledged that these resources would be leveraged to boost operational efficiency and facilitate training for all staff members, thereby enhancing overall performance.
