The Anambra State Ministry of Education has joined millions of Nigerians and the global community in celebrating children as part of activities marking the 2026 Children’s Day celebration.
In a goodwill message issued today, May 27 by the Commissioner for Education, Dr. Ekene Ogugua, the Ministry described children as the pride of the nation and the foundation of a brighter future, reaffirming government’s commitment to their education, welfare, and overall development.
Dr. Ogugua noted that the administration of Governor Chukwuma Soludo remains committed to providing quality education, safe learning environments, and opportunities that will enable children across the state to achieve their full potential.
The commissioner encouraged children to remain dedicated to their studies, uphold good morals, and continue to pursue their dreams with determination and discipline.
According to him, the future of Anambra State and Nigeria depends greatly on the quality of upbringing and education given to children today.
The Ministry further assured parents, teachers, and stakeholders in the education sector of its continued efforts toward building an educational system that promotes excellence, creativity, innovation, and character development.
The Anambra State Ministry of Education wished all children in the state a joyful and memorable Children’s Day celebration.
