The Catholic Bishop of Awka Diocese, Most Rev. Paulinus Chukwuemeka Ezeokafor, has blessed a renovated chapel and other infrastructural projects at Rosa Mystica High School, Agulu, in Anaocha Local Government Area of Anambra State, as the institution commenced activities marking its 60th anniversary.
The ceremony took place on October 18, during the bishop’s episcopal visit to the school, which has continued to promote academic excellence, spiritual growth and the overall development of its students.
The renovated chapel, fitted with facilities for liturgical worship, is expected to strengthen the spiritual formation of the students by providing a suitable environment for prayer, worship and other religious activities.
Bishop Ezeokafor also blessed the renovated school gate and the newly asphalted main avenue, which measures 285 metres in length and 6.8 metres in width.
The projects are part of efforts to improve the school’s infrastructure and provide a more conducive environment for teaching, learning and other academic activities.
The blessing ceremony also heralded the commencement of the school’s diamond jubilee celebration, marking 60 years of educational, moral and spiritual formation.
The anniversary is expected to bring together members of the school community, alumni, staff and other stakeholders to reflect on the institution’s history, achievements and contributions to society.
The grand finale of the diamond jubilee celebration is scheduled for Saturday, although the exact date is yet to be confirmed.
Rosa Mystica High School, Agulu, has remained committed to nurturing young people through quality education, discipline and Christian values. The newly blessed projects further demonstrate the institution’s commitment to sustaining an environment that promotes both academic excellence and spiritual development.
