The Mayor of Awka South Local Government Area, Prince Chinedu Okafor, has expressed gratitude to the people of Awka South for the overwhelming support that led to his re-election.
In a statement on today, Prince Okafor said his heart was filled with gratitude over the love, trust, and confidence reposed in him by the electorate.
He described the victory as one that belongs to every voter, All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) faithful, youth, women, elders, and communities that stood firmly with his administration.
“I do not take your support for granted. This victory belongs to every one of you who believed in our vision and worked for its actualization,” he said.
The mayor also extended special appreciation to the Governor of Anambra State, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo, for his visionary leadership and commitment to the Solution Agenda, which he said continues to inspire leaders to serve with purpose and integrity.
Prince Okafor pledged to work harder in his second term, consolidate on the achievements of his first tenure, and ensure that every part of Awka South feels the impact of good governance.
“Thank you, Awka South. The Solution continues,” he added.
The re-election of Prince Okafor and his Deputy, Hon. Paul Ifeme, has been widely received as an endorsement of the administration’s grassroots-focused policies and developmental strides in Awka South.
