The Mayor of Awka South Local Government Area, Prince Chinedu Okafor, has extended warm felicitations to the Archbishop of the Ecclesiastical Province of the Niger and Bishop of Awka Diocese, Most Rev. Alexander Chibuzo Ibezim, on the occasion of his 64th birthday.
In a goodwill message, the Mayor joined the Archbishop’s family, friends, clergy, the people of Awka South, and the wider Christian community in celebrating the revered Anglican cleric, describing him as a man whose life has been defined by faith, humility, wisdom, and selfless service to God and humanity.
Prince Okafor commended Archbishop Ibezim for his unwavering commitment to the spiritual growth of the Church and his impactful leadership, noting that his ministry has continued to inspire hope and provide guidance to countless faithful across the Diocese and beyond.
According to the Mayor, the Archbishop’s dedication to God’s work and his exemplary leadership have made him a respected spiritual father whose influence transcends the Church and positively impacts society.
He expressed gratitude to God for preserving the Archbishop’s life and fruitful ministry, while praying for continued divine grace, sound health, renewed strength, wisdom, and many more years of dedicated service in the Lord’s vineyard.
Prince Okafor wished Archbishop Ibezim a joyful 64th birthday celebration and prayed that God’s peace, favour, and abundant blessings would continue to rest upon his life and ministry.
