‎The management and staff of the Anambra State Urban Water Asset Holding Corporation (ASUWAHC) joined in celebrating the Officer-in-Charge of the Corporation, Mrs. Emmanuella Okafor, on the occasion of her birthday on July 20, in recognition of her exemplary leadership, unwavering dedication, and outstanding contributions to the growth and transformation of the corporation.

‎The celebration, tagged “Birthday Galore,” transformed the corporation’s conference hall into a vibrant atmosphere of joy and goodwill as colleagues, friends, and well-wishers gathered to honour Mrs. Okafor. They paid glowing tributes to her dedication, visionary leadership, and tireless efforts in repositioning ASUWAHC to enhance water service delivery across Anambra State.

‎In his remarks, the Chairman of the ASUWAHC Welfare Committee, Mr. Chinedu Amucheazi, described Mrs. Okafor as a compassionate administrator, visionary leader and mentor whose open-door policy and people-centred leadership have inspired confidence, strengthened teamwork and fostered a culture of professionalism within the Corporation.

‎He commended her unwavering commitment to the growth and transformation of ASUWAHC and prayed that God would continue to bless her with wisdom, sound health and many more years of impactful service.

‎
‎Responding, Mrs. Okafor expressed profound gratitude to God for the gift of life and thanked the management and staff for the surprise celebration and overwhelming show of love. She described the honour as both humbling and encouraging, noting that the achievements recorded by the Corporation are the result of teamwork, dedication and the collective commitment of every member of staff.

‎She called on members of staff to remain steadfast in their commitment to duty, stressing the need for unity, hard work and professionalism in achieving the Corporation’s objectives. Mrs. Okafor reaffirmed that with collective dedication and a shared sense of responsibility, ASUWAHC would continue to make significant strides in delivering sustainable and efficient water services to the people of Anambra State.

‎The event not only marked another milestone in the life of the Officer-in-Charge but also reaffirmed ASUWAHC’s culture of recognising dedicated leadership, promoting staff welfare and fostering unity in the workplace.

‎Staff members offered heartfelt prayers for Mrs. Okafor’s continued good health, divine favour, wisdom and greater accomplishments as she continues to steer the Corporation towards achieving its mandate of sustainable water service delivery in Anambra State.

‎The celebration featured prayers, goodwill messages, cutting of birthday cake and other social activities, with staff expressing appreciation for the celebrant’s inclusive leadership style, which they said has continued to promote teamwork, accountability, professionalism and innovation within the Corporation.
