APGA: ANAMBRA WOMEN UNITE FOR SOLUDO

The Anambra Women under the aegis of the All Progressives Grand Alliance Party and other allied women movement groups have risen in unison  to appreciate Governor Chukwuma Soludo’s development strategy which has guaranteed unfettered route to his second term in office.

The Anambra Women summit tagged “Together We Rise: Achieving The Best Through The Women’ which took place at the APGA regional office Awka,attracted the governor’s wife, Dr.Nonye Soludo and other stake holders of the party.

In a speech,Dr.Soludo took the women down the memory lane of the vast achievements of the governor so far in office and urged them to give him their unalloyed support to sustain their enjoyment of the dividends of democracy being witnessed in his administration.

The governor’s wife charged women to assist their husbands to build their homes for a better larger society. According to her, sudden unexplained display of affluence by their children should be interrogated to ascertain the source of the wealth.

In her speech,the State Women Leader of APGA,  Mrs.Esther Onyekesi appreciated the positive impact Governor Soludo has recorded in the areas of roads rehabilitation, education, health, and in all sectors of the economy.

In all, Mrs.Onyekesi passed a vote of confidence on the governor and urged women to work towards ensuring that he is delivered for a second term in office.

On her part,the state Head of Service,  Theodora Igwegbe (Esq) thanked the governor for his worker friendliness and urged women to work towards improving their home front and assisting the governor in his good works.

Contributing, the Coordinator Njikoka LGA Door to Door Grassroot Movement for good governance Princess Patience Eboh attended the forum as an observer and through the invitation of the APGA Women Leader for Njikoka LGA Lady Chinyere Mgbajiaka.

Princess Eboh appreciated APGA women in the state and Lady Chinyere for their noble party activities and in summary passed a vote of confidence on Governor Soludo who deserves a second term in office.

The women activist reiterated that Soludo has through his activities captured the Anambra Women who she urged to be mindful of the activities of some of their juvenile male children who she observed have derailed by wearing earrings and wearing  fried hair styles.

Also speaking, the representative of Mr.Dom Okafor and Chief Emmanuel Nwachukwu aspirant for the Anambra South Senatorial seat,Dame Chinyere Mbakwe appreciated the role of women in nation building.

Dame Chinyere used the forum to pass a vote of confidence on Governor Soludo for a second term in office and on Chief Nwachukwu.

Highpoints on the occasion were the presentation of a souvenir to the governor’s wife Nonye by the Comrade Chika Chukwudozie led State NUT,other groups presentations,dances,etc.

Some of the dignitaries that graced the occasion included the traditional ruler of Omasi, Igwe Benjamin Okeji,the traditional ruler of Ndiokpalaeze, Igwe Frederick Okoli,the state Chairman of APGA, Chief Ifeatu Obi- Okoye,the Acting Vice Chancellor of the Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University, Professor Kate Omenugha,among others.
