The Executive Chairman of Anambra West Local Government Area, Hon. Fidelis Nnazor, officially launched the Community Health Outreach Programme on September 9, at the local council headquarters in Nzam.

In his speech, Hon. Nnazor commended the Executive Governor of Anambra State, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo, for his unwavering commitment to strengthening healthcare services at the local level.
He characterized the outreach as a timely and proactive measure in response to the increasing number of sudden health issues and preventable deaths within Anambra West communities.
According to the Anambra West Chairman, the programme will offer residents free medical consultations, malaria testing, blood pressure checks, blood sugar tests, urinalysis, and essential drug distribution.
He assured attendees that the local government would continue to support state efforts by ensuring rural residents have access to quality medical care.
Nnazor encouraged Councillors, Presidents-General, Women Leaders, and Youth Leaders to rally their communities to take advantage of this initiative, emphasizing that good health is fundamental for a productive and prosperous society.
The flag-off ceremony drew a large crowd that included community members, traditional rulers, healthcare professionals, and political stakeholders with many expressing their gratitude to Governor Soludo and Council leadership for making healthcare more accessible.
