The Wife of the Anambra State Governor, Dr (Mrs) Nonye Soludo, will officially inaugurate the Healthy Living HIV Control Initiative as part of efforts to strengthen awareness, prevention and management of HIV/AIDS in the state.
The inauguration ceremony is scheduled to hold on Tuesday, June 16, 2026, at 11:00 a.m, venue restricted.
The initiative is designed to promote healthy lifestyles, encourage regular HIV testing, reduce stigma and discrimination, enhancing access to support services for people living with HIV/AIDS.
The programme is being convened by Dr Nkem Okeke, KSC, Executive Director/ Project Manager of the Anambra State AIDS Control Agency (ANSACA), as part of the agency’s commitment to advancing public health and supporting the state’s healthcare development agenda.
Stakeholders from the health sector, development partners, community leaders, civil society organisations and other key actors are expected to participate in the event, which is aimed at deepening awareness and strengthening collective action against HIV/AIDS in Anambra State.
