The Anambra State Boundary Committee (ASBC) Technical Team on May 20, convened a meeting with representatives of Igbuala Ifitedunu in Dunukofia Local Government Area, as well as Igbu Awkuzu and Ojobi Umunya communities in Oyi Local Government Area, over the lingering boundary dispute among the neighbouring communities.
The meeting, held at the Anambra State Boundary Committee Office, Office of the Deputy Governor, Government House, Awka, was moderated by the Senior Special Assistant to Governor on Boundary Matters Hon. Ekene Okoye who represented the Deputy Governor, Dr. Onyekachukwu Ibezim.

Addressing the stakeholders, Hon. Okoye emphasized that dialogue remains a veritable tool for achieving lasting peace and resolving disputes amicably.
Following presentations made by representatives of the affected communities, the committee advised all parties to refrain from actions capable of escalating tensions or causing crises.

They were further urged to embrace peaceful engagement as the surest path to sustainable development and harmonious coexistence.
Other government officials present at the meeting included the Executive Secretary of the State Boundary Committee, Dr. Olisa Mba; the State Boundary Committee Project Surveyor, and Surv. Oluchukwu Uzochukwu.
