By Ebele Egoh  :

The Anambra State Hospital Administrator, Dr. Frank Ifeanaeme has paid a courtesy visit to the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), State Coordinator, Mrs. Blessing Ekenedilichukwu Iruma, at the Nnamdi Azikiwe NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp in Anambra State. The visit aimed to request more corps members being posted to state hospitals to enhance healthcare service delivery.

Dr. Ifeanaeme praised the contributions of corps members already serving in state hospitals, particularly given the state’s provision of free delivery, drugs, laboratory services, and cesarean operations for pregnant mothers. He solicited additional healthcare personnel to support existing health workers.

The Hospital Administrator assured that, with the Health Commissioner’s support, Dr. Afam Obidike, the state would provide a conducive environment for corps members posted to state hospitals. He thanked the NYSC Coordinator for her efforts and urged her to deploy more corps members.

In response, Mrs. Iruma promised to work towards deploying more medical corps members to the state. She noted that many prefer working with larger agencies offering higher allowances. She appreciated the Hospital Administrator’s visit and assured her commitment to achieving the government’s vision for improved healthcare.

Other officials present included NYSC Camp Director Mr. Macnorris Augustine Ogiator, Head of Publicity Mr. Felix Nnamdi Obiekwe, Human Resources Desk Officer Mr. Victor Ngaji, and Administrative Officer/Personal Assistant to the Hospital Administrator, Mr. Chukwudi Onwujekwe.
