‎Schools across Anambra State have officially reopened as pupils and students returned to their classrooms on Sept. 14, for the commencement of the 2026/2027 academic session.
‎
‎The resumption marks the beginning of a new academic year, with teachers, school administrators and learners expected to settle into academic activities and other programmes designed to support effective teaching and learning.
‎
‎The state government has continued to place education among its key development priorities, with emphasis on improving learning outcomes, upgrading school infrastructure and enhancing the overall quality of education across the state.
‎
‎With schools now reopened, parents and guardians are expected to play their part by ensuring that their children and wards resume promptly and are adequately prepared with the necessary materials for the new academic year.
‎
‎Teachers and school administrators are equally expected to uphold high standards of professionalism, discipline and commitment while providing a safe and conducive environment for learning.
‎
‎The new academic session provides pupils and students with another opportunity to acquire knowledge, develop their talents and build relevant skills that will prepare them for future academic and career pursuits.
‎
‎It also offers education stakeholders an opportunity to strengthen collaboration and address challenges that may affect effective teaching and learning in schools across the state.
‎
‎As academic activities commence, stakeholders are expected to sustain their collective efforts towards improving educational standards and ensuring that pupils and students have access to quality, functional and inclusive education.
‎
‎The new session therefore begins with renewed expectations for government, parents, teachers, learners and other stakeholders to work together towards achieving improved educational outcomes across Anambra State.
