Anambra State Commissioner for Lands, Prof. Offornze Dike Amucheazi (SAN), has called on members of the Nigerian Institution of Surveyors (NIS) to uphold the high standards of professionalism and ethical conduct for which the profession is renowned in the discharge of their responsibilities.
Prof. Amucheazi made the call on July 7 while receiving members of the Nigerian Institution of Surveyors (NIS), Anambra State Branch, who paid him a courtesy visit in his office.
The commissioner commended the Institution for maintaining a well-regulated profession and urged its leadership to strengthen disciplinary measures against members whose actions fall short of professional standards, in order to safeguard the integrity and reputation of the body.
He also underscored the importance of sustained collaboration between the Ministry of Lands and the Institution in advancing Gov. Chukwuma Soludo’s vision of an efficient, transparent and effective land administration system in Anambra State.
Earlier, the Chairman of the Nigerian Institution of Surveyors (NIS), Anambra State Branch, Surv. Gabriel Okeke, praised Prof. Amucheazi for his transformational leadership and congratulated him on his reappointment as Commissioner for Lands.
He reaffirmed the Institution’s commitment to partnering with the Ministry to achieve its objectives.
The highlight of the visit was the presentation of a congratulatory plaque to Prof. Amucheazi by the NIS Chairman in recognition of his well-deserved reappointment as Commissioner for Lands, Anambra State.
