ANAMBRA GOVT TO SANCTION PERPETRATORS OF OBOSI CLASH

The Anambra State Government has initiated a thorough investigation into the recent altercation between operatives of the Special Anti-Touting Squad (SASA) and individuals in Obosi, Idemili North Local Government Area, which resulted in significant damage to property.

This announcement was contained in a press statement issued by the Commissioner for Information, Dr. Law Mefor, who assured the residents of Obosi and the general public that the state government is committed to taking decisive measures to prevent the reoccurrence of such incidents in the future.

The statement further disclosed that SASA is presently undergoing a strategic restructuring exercise designed to bolster its professionalism and efficacy, thereby enabling the squad to function with optimal effectiveness and accountability.

The government, therefore, appealed for calmness and collaboration from the citizenry as they work diligently to address and resolve the matter.
