‎
‎A House of Representatives aspirant for Anambra East and West Federal Constituency, Dr. Bob Manuel Okommah, has said the area deserves better and more effective representation at the National Assembly, citing years of underperformance and limited federal presence.
‎
‎Okommah made this assertion in a media chat with Omambala Media Practitioners in Awka, where he expressed concern over what he described as the muted voice of the constituency in national affairs.
‎
‎“Anambra East and West deserve better representation. Our people need a strong voice that will speak, act, and deliver at the federal level,” he stated.
‎
‎The aspirant, who is contesting under the platform of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), said his decision to join the race was motivated by the need to bridge the gap between the people and the federal government.
‎
‎He noted that despite the enormous human and economic potential of the constituency, it has not received commensurate attention in terms of federal projects and policy influence, stressing the need for a proactive and result-oriented representative.
‎
‎Highlighting his over 20 years of experience in the private sector with multinational companies, Okommah said he possesses the competence, credibility, and capacity required to deliver quality representation and attract meaningful development to the area.
‎
‎He further emphasized that leadership should be measured by impact, assuring constituents that his focus would be on delivering tangible results and ensuring that their voices are heard and respected at the national level.
‎
‎Okommah also reiterated his commitment to aligning with the development vision of Governor Chukwuma Soludo, noting that synergy between state and federal representation is crucial for accelerated development.
‎
‎He commended Governor Soludo for ongoing transformation across key sectors, including infrastructure, security, education, ICT, and youth empowerment, expressing optimism that greater progress would be achieved in the coming years.
‎
‎Political observers believe his entry into the race introduces a credible contender with strong grassroots appeal and professional experience, positioning him as a key figure in the contest for the Anambra East and West Federal Constituency seat ahead of the 2027 general elections.
