ANAMBRA DEPUTY GOVERNOR COMMENDS ARTMA PERSONNEL FOR COMMITMENT TO TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT

By MaryAnn Chukwuma

‎The Deputy Governor of Anambra State, Dr. OnyekaChukwu Ibezim, has commended personnel of the Anambra Road Traffic Management Agency (ARTMA) for their dedication to maintaining traffic order across the State.

‎Dr. Ibezim made the commendation after observing ARTMA officials on duty during the morning rush hour at Aroma Junction on July 16, describing their commitment as a selfless service that keeps Anambra moving efficiently.

‎He praised the officers for working tirelessly under challenging conditions to direct traffic, reduce congestion, save commuters valuable time, and ensure order on major roads.

‎According to the Deputy Governor, the commitment and discipline displayed by the agency’s personnel demonstrate that their responsibilities go beyond routine work, describing the service as a calling.

‎Dr. Ibezim attributed the transformation in traffic management to the visionary leadership of the Governor, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo whose administration, he said, is repositioning Anambra into a model of order, efficiency, and sustainable development.

‎He noted that the Governor’s foresight has continued to drive reforms that are improving public service delivery and enhancing the quality of life for residents.

‎The Deputy Governor reaffirmed the State Government’s commitment to supporting institutions that promote safety, discipline, and efficient movement of people and goods across Anambra.

‎He also encouraged residents and motorists to cooperate with ARTMA personnel by obeying traffic regulations, stressing that collective responsibility remains essential to building a more orderly and prosperous Anambra.
