‎The Anambra State Civil Service Commission has on Sept 28, invited qualified candidates to apply for vacancies in the Vehicle Inspection Services Department of the Ministry of Transport.
‎
‎The recruitment exercise covers three categories: Mechanical Engineer Cadre, Works Superintendent Cadre and Artisan/Craftsman Cadre, with positions determined by candidates’ qualifications and applicable grade levels.
‎
‎Under Category A, applicants are being considered for the position of Vehicle Inspection Officer II, equivalent to Mechanical Engineer II, Grade Level 08. The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
‎
‎Category B is for the position of Vehicle Inspection Superintendent, equivalent to Assistant Works Superintendent, Grade Level 06. Applicants are required to possess an Ordinary National Diploma (OND) in Mechanical Engineering, Automobile Engineering or a related discipline.
‎
‎Category C covers Vehicle Inspection Assistant, designated as Assistant Craftsman, Grade Level 03. Candidates for the position must possess a First School Leaving Certificate and Federal Trade Test Certificate.
‎
‎Interested candidates are required to apply online through the Ministry’s careers portal, print the completed application form, attach the relevant documents and submit them through the designated Desk Officer. The application period runs from Sept. 21 to 30. Completed application forms must be submitted at the ministry’s office in Awka on or before the closing date.
‎
‎Applicants must be Nigerians by birth and be between 18 and 50 years of age. They are also required to possess valid Local Government identification, while degree holders must present their NYSC discharge certificates.
‎
‎The commission warned that multiple applications would result in disqualification, while candidates found to have submitted falsified documents may face prosecution. It added that only shortlisted applicants would be invited for the screening exercise.
