The members of Anambra State 8th Assembly have unanimously commended the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for conducting what they described as a peaceful, free, fair and credible governorship election on November 8, 2025. The lawmakers also congratulated Governor Chukwuma Soludo and his deputy, Dr. Onyekachukwu Ibezim, on their emphatic re-election victory.
The commendation came after a motion was raised by the member representing Anaocha Constituency II, Hon. Ejike Okechukwu, who praised INEC for delivering a transparent and orderly election that further strengthens democracy in Anambra State and the nation at large.
The Speaker, Rt. Hon. Udeze, said the governor’s re-election represents a strong vote of trust from Ndi Anambra. He reaffirmed that the Assembly remains fully committed to working closely with the Executive to consolidate development gains and ensure sustained progress across the state.
In their various contributions, lawmakers including members of the opposition echoed the same sentiment. The Minority Leader, Hon. Johnbosco Akaegbobi; Hon. Noble Igwe of Ogbaru Constituency I; and Hon. Patrick Udoba of Anambra West, among others, described Governor Soludo’s victory as a clear expression of the people’s confidence in his visionary leadership, transformative governance, and steadfast commitment to the Solution Agenda.
