The Traditional Ruler of Akpu in Orumba South local government area His Royal Majesty Igwe Marcel Okoli (Igwe Chukwu Chibelu), has passed a vote of confidence in favour of Governor Chukwuma Soludo’s elevation of the status of the state among its contemporaries in Nigeria.
Igwe Okoli in a public press statement in Lagos on his expectations from the governor on his second term in office, expressed joy that the governor has touched all sectors of the state economy in all the three senatorial zones of the state.
The royal father listed some of his achievements to include the dualization of major trunk A roads in the state namely the Amawbia-Agulu-Ekwulobia-Uga road, Agulu-Nnobi-Nnewi-Ozubulu-Okija road, Ekwulobia-Isuofia-Igboukwu-Nnobi road among other road networks under construction.
In the health sector, education sector, infrastructural development and in the area of security among others, he confirmed that the governor has done well.
Igwe Okoli further commended the governor for giving Anambra State a befitting state capital with a new government house and governor’s lodge and other infrastructural development in the capital city.
In the governor’s second term in office, the traditional ruler urged him to consolidate on his achievements and to address some of the needs of his community Akpu in areas such as roads rehabilitation and other infrastructural development.
He pledged the unalloyed support of the people of Akpu to his administration.
