The Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Anambra State ICT Agency, Chukwuemeka Fred Agbata, on July 9 reaffirmed the Agency’s commitment to advancing digital governance and enhancing public service delivery across Anambra State.
The reaffirmation came as Agbata marked his birthday, with the Agency reflecting on its achievements and ongoing efforts to implement Gov. Chukwuma Soludo’s digital transformation agenda.
According to the Agency, Gov. Soludo’s vision, anchored on the mantra, “Everything Technology, Technology Everywhere,” has provided the foundation for innovation across government institutions.
The Agency stated that its digital transformation drive is focused on using technology to improve governance, strengthen institutions and enhance service delivery rather than adopting technology for its own sake.
It noted that emphasis is being placed on building sustainable systems that preserve institutional knowledge, promote accountability and ensure continuity within government.
The Agency also disclosed that investments in broadband infrastructure, cybersecurity, digital identity, Artificial Intelligence and automation are aimed at making government services more efficient and accessible to citizens.
It further stated that it is pursuing its goal of becoming Nigeria’s first AI-First Native Government Agency by integrating Artificial Intelligence into its daily operations through initiatives such as the ICTA Brain platform to improve productivity, automate routine tasks and support better decision-making.
